BTRU required more than a website redesign—they needed a complete overhaul of how their business attracted, converted, and retained members online.The existing setup lacked structure, clear conversion paths, and integration between their tools, resulting in missed opportunities and friction in the client journey.This project focused on rebuilding BTRU’s digital presence into a cohesive system designed to support growth.

Stage 1: Website Rebuild &
Conversion Optimization

The website was completely restructured to function as a conversion-focused platform rather than a static informational page. The original website didn’t adapt to their needs or give users a mobile friendly expirence. The Growth team saw these pain points and addressed them through:

  • Redesigning page layouts for clarity and flow
  • Structuring service and membership pages for decision-making
  • Improving mobile responsiveness
  • Implementing clear calls-to-action across all pages
  • Optimizing user navigation to reduce drop-off

Stage 2: Local SEO & Online Presence Setup

BTRU Academy struggled with where they stood in a digital standpoint. They had no way to be discovered on the web, and struggled with the previous version of the gym  interefering with their web presence. We solved this through: 

  • Disabling previous citations
  • Google Business Profile was optimized for search visibility
  • Yelp was configured to support local trust and discovery
  • On-page SEO improvements were implemented across the website
  • Service pages were structured to target relevant local keywords

Stage 3: Booking & Mindbody Integration

A bottleneck we assessed was the booking system. Majority of the website links didn’t function or didn’t align with the current offers. A major focus was reducing friction in the booking experience. With getting to know the teams offers and the future vision for BTRU Academy, we crafted a tailor made booking expirence in the Mindbody software and website. The result was explanative membership and class pages. This included:

  • configuring Mindbody to align with membership offerings
  • integrating booking flows directly into the website
  • ensuring users could easily navigate from interest to booking
  • simplifying the client journey from discovery to commitment

Stage 4: Systems & Intergrations

We strive to leave our clients with the power to grow. BTRU Academy was strained on time by doing small manual task everyday. We created ecosystems and automations that will ease everyday operations and give insight on improving performance. The intention was to leave BTRU with backend systems that empower them to grow efficiently. To support long-term scalability:

  • key business tools were integrated into the website
  • workflows were streamlined to reduce manual effort
  • infrastructure was set up to support future automation

Stage 5: Handoff & Strategic Guidance

Whenever BTRU recieved the first verision of the website, they recieved no guidance on how to operate the site or make changes. We never want to clients to feel like they aren’t in control of their site or brand presence as a whole. To complete the project we ensured that they will never face this problem again. Personalized handoff and guidance has allowed BTRU to become independent when it comes to their web presence. To ensure this last:

  • Tutorials were provided for managing the website and SEO tools
  • Brandkits were given to enhance branding
  • Strategic recommendations were given for continued growth
  • Guidance was provided on improving conversions and retention
