Ratcliff Premium Meats, a family-owned premium agricultural and direct-to-consumer meat business, had a strong product and loyal customer base but needed stronger backend systems to support long-term growth. As the business expanded beyond local operations, the focus shifted toward improving digital infrastructure, customer retention, pricing strategy, and operational efficiency. Rather than simply managing day-to-day tasks, this project centered on building the foundational systems and strategic recommendations needed for scalable growth.The goal was to strengthen the business behind the brand—creating clearer operational processes, improving customer lifecycle strategy, and preparing the company for more sustainable expansion.

Stage 1: Operational Infrastructure & Backend Systems

  • Sssisting with pricing updates based on COGS analysis and profitability reviews
  • Building inventory tracking systems using both Airtable and Excel for improved visibility
  • Researching and comparing internal workflow platforms such as Notion and Asana

Stage 2: Customer Retention

A major opportunity existed in improving how the business nurtured existing customers and recovered lost revenue opportunities.This included:

  • Researching and comparing platforms such as MailerLite, Omnisend, and MailerSend
  • Helping structure customer lifecycle communication strategies across email and SMS
  • Authoring campaign concepts and retention sequences for key customer segments
  • Planning re-engagement campaigns for inactive customers
  • Supporting seasonal campaign planning for holidays, promotions, and local events

Stage 3: Content Strategy & UGC Framework

To strengthen brand perception and increase long-term audience engagement, foundational content systems were developed across multiple channels. This included:

  • Structuring recurring content series for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn
  • Planning content themes such as “What’s Cooking,” behind-the-scenes ranch operations, and community event coverage
  • Creating UGC strategy frameworks designed to improve Trust and brand storytelling
